Custom Domains (White Label)

Replace affclix.com in all tracking URLs with your own domain — so affiliates and advertisers interact entirely with your brand. Custom domains are the foundation of a white-label affiliate network.

Overview

Out of the box, your tracking links and portal use an AffClix address. With a custom domain you use your own subdomain instead, such as track.yournetwork.com. Affiliates and advertisers then only ever see your brand.

  • Your brand on every link. Affiliates see only your network name.
  • Fewer blocked links. Generic tracking domains are often blocked by ad blockers, and your own domain usually isn't.
  • Better email delivery. Branded links are less likely to trigger spam filters.
  • Your own login address. Affiliates sign in at, for example, partners.yournetwork.com.

Each domain can be used for one of three things:

  • Tracking — affiliate tracking links only.
  • Portal — the affiliate and advertiser dashboard only.
  • Portal + Tracking — one domain for both, which uses only one of your domain slots.
Where to find it

Integrations → Custom Domains. The number of domains you can add depends on your plan, and the page shows how many you have used.

DNS Setup

You add the domain in AffClix, then create two DNS records with your domain provider: a TXT record that proves you own the domain, and a CNAME record that sends its traffic to AffClix.

  1. Add the Domain in AffClix

Go to Integrations → Custom Domains and add your subdomain, for example track.yournetwork.com, then choose the domain type. Use a subdomain. Root domains such as yournetwork.com are not supported.

  2. Add a TXT Record (Proves Ownership)

Your unique token is shown on the domain's row. In your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53 and so on), add:

    TypeName / HostValueTTL
    TXT_affclix-verify.track.yournetwork.comaffclix-verify=<your-token>300 or Auto
  3. Add a CNAME Record (Routes Traffic)

    TypeName / HostTargetTTL
CNAMEtrack (your chosen subdomain)The target shown in the DNS instructions on the Custom Domains page. Use the Copy button so it is exact.300 or Auto

On Cloudflare, switch the proxy off (grey cloud, "DNS only") for this record.

  4. Click "Verify DNS"

Back on the Custom Domains page, click Verify DNS on the domain's row. Both records must be found before the domain goes live. DNS changes usually show up within 5–30 minutes, but some providers take up to 48 hours. If verification fails, wait a little and try again.

Cloudflare proxy must be off

With the orange-cloud proxy on, the CNAME can't be checked and the SSL certificate can't be issued. Set the record to DNS only before you verify.

SSL Certificates

AffClix automatically provisions a free Let's Encrypt TLS certificate for every verified custom domain. You do not need to install, upload, or renew certificates manually.

DetailValue
Certificate AuthorityLet's Encrypt (ACME v2)
Auto-renewalYes — certificates are renewed automatically 30 days before expiry
Provisioning Time2–10 minutes after DNS verification succeeds
Minimum TLS VersionTLS 1.2
HTTP → HTTPS RedirectAutomatic — all HTTP requests are permanently redirected to HTTPS
SSL provisioning failure

If SSL status remains Pending for more than 15 minutes after DNS verified, it usually means the CNAME target cannot be reached from the Let's Encrypt validation servers. Double-check that there is no firewall blocking port 443 to the AffClix IP range, and that the Cloudflare proxy is disabled.

Verification & Domain Status

The domain list shows a status badge for both DNS verification and SSL provisioning independently. Both must be green before the domain is fully active.

StatusDNS CheckSSL CheckMeaning
PendingAwaiting DNS propagation or initial ACME challenge. Normal for the first 30 minutes.
VerifiedCNAME resolves correctly and SSL certificate is issued. Domain is fully active.
Failed—CNAME does not resolve to the expected target. Check your DNS record.
SSL FailedDNS is correct but ACME challenge failed. Usually Cloudflare proxy or firewall issue.

Managing Domains

The Custom Domains list page provides a searchable, filterable table of all your custom domains. Use the filter bar to narrow by DNS status or SSL status.

Actions available per domain:

  • Re-verify — Manually trigger a CNAME check if you recently updated your DNS and want AffClix to re-check without waiting.
  • Set as Default — Mark one custom domain as the default tracking domain. New campaigns will use this domain for generated URLs automatically.
  • Delete — Remove the domain from AffClix. Existing tracking URLs using this domain will stop working immediately. Affiliates must receive updated URLs.

Plan Quota

Each AffClix plan includes a quota of custom domains. The current count and limit are shown at the top of the Custom Domains page.

If you need more custom domains than your plan includes, upgrade your plan in Billing or contact support for an Enterprise add-on.
