How Tiered Payouts Work
Open Campaigns → Tiered Payouts. A tiered payout (a programme) is a ladder such as Bronze, Silver and Gold, each with a starting number of approved conversions and a bonus percentage.
- Below the first tier, affiliates earn their normal payout.
- The bonus multiplies whatever the campaign and its payout rules already pay, so country, event and affiliate-specific payouts keep working.
- Every 10 minutes AffClix recounts each affiliate's approved conversions and moves them up the ladder. A new tier starts paying within about 10 minutes.
- Counts reset every month (on the 1st) or every week (on Monday), in your account timezone.
- The bonus applies to new conversions from the moment the affiliate reaches the tier. Earlier conversions are not repaid.
Worked Example
A campaign pays $10 per sale. The monthly ladder is:
| Tier | From (approved conversions) | Bonus | Pays per sale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 0 | — | $10.00 |
| Bronze | 100 | +5% | $10.50 |
| Silver | 200 | +10% | $11.00 |
| Gold | 500 | +20% | $12.00 |
An affiliate with 230 approved sales this month is on Silver, so sale 231 pays $11.00. On the 1st of next month they start again at Base.
Creating a Ladder
Click New Tiered Payout
Pick a template — Simple: 1 tier, Classic: Bronze / Silver / Gold, or Growth: 5 steps — and give it a name.
Choose when counts reset and which campaigns it covers
All campaigns, or Selected campaigns. Conversions across all the selected campaigns count towards one ladder.
Set the tiers
Each higher tier must start at more conversions and pay a bigger bonus than the one below. The preview on the right shows what a conversion will pay at each step.
Choose visibility and launch
Decide whether to show the ladder to affiliates and congratulate them when they move up (in-app and e-mail, following your Affiliate Notifications settings). Click Launch Tiered Payout.
A campaign can be in only one active tiered payout. A programme covering all campaigns cannot run alongside another active programme.
Pausing or deleting a programme returns affiliates to their normal payout for new conversions. Fixed-amount e-commerce payouts are not multiplied.
What Counts
Only approved conversions count, from web and app traffic. Test conversions, imported history and conversions you later reject do not. If you reject conversions after an upgrade, the affiliate may drop back a tier at the next recount.
Leaderboard
The Leaderboard tab lists each affiliate's approved conversions this period, their current tier and how many more they need for the next one.
What Affiliates See
When the ladder is visible, affiliates get a Payout Tiers page under Payments showing their tier, progress and the next target. When a conversion pays a bonus, its payout rule name shows the tier, for example "Tier: Gold (+20%)".
