Campaign Alerts

Affiliates hear about campaign changes automatically — a new campaign, a pause, a payout change or a cap that is nearly full — without you writing an e-mail each time.

What Campaign Alerts Do

Open Campaigns → Campaign Alerts. The page has two tabs: Queued (alerts waiting to go out) and History (what was sent, to how many affiliates, and the outcome). Alerts are delivered in-app and by e-mail.

Plan feature

Campaign Alerts are included on the Scale plan and above.

Which Changes Send an Alert

ChangeWho is told
New public campaignAll active affiliates
Paused or resumedAffiliates running it
Payout, schedule, preview page or terms changedAffiliates running it
Cap nearly reached or reachedAffiliates running it, if the cap is visible to affiliates

"Affiliates running it" means affiliates approved on the campaign plus anyone who sent it clicks in the last 30 days. Affiliates with their own payout rule are not told about changes to the default payout, because their payout did not change.

A campaign that was announced before, is more than 30 days old, or already has approved affiliates is announced as live again rather than new.

The Hold Window

Changes wait in the Queued tab for a hold period (15 minutes unless you change it) before they are sent. That gives you time to finish editing or cancel the alert:

  • Several edits in the window are merged into one alert. A field you change and then change back drops out.
  • Pausing and resuming within the window cancel each other out, so nobody is told.
  • Click Send now to skip the wait, or Cancel to stop the alert.

Cap Warnings

Every 10 minutes AffClix checks daily, weekly and monthly caps. When a cap passes your warning level and again when it reaches 100%, affected affiliates and your admins are told — once per cap and period. Set the warning level in the alert settings. See Campaign Capping.

Announcing a Campaign by Hand

New public campaigns are announced automatically. To re-promote a campaign, or to announce a private one you have opened up, click Announce campaign, search for a live campaign, add an optional note and click Announce now. It goes to every active affiliate.

Alert Settings

Click Alert settings (Settings → Affiliate Notifications) to switch each alert type on or off, change the hold before sending changes, and set the cap warning level. The e-mail wording uses the templates under Campaign alerts, which you can edit.
