Blocked Sub-sources

Stop one bad placement without cutting off the whole affiliate. Block a source or sub ID value — for example Sub ID 1 = site_123 — on one campaign or all of them, and the tracker rejects its traffic within seconds.

What a Sub-source Block Does

Affiliates pass their placements on tracking links as source= and sub_aff1 … sub_aff10. A block rule matches one of those values and stops the traffic. Open Affiliates → Blocked Sub-sources.

Conversions are checked against the click they came from, so a block also stops conversions on clicks sent before the block was added.

Finding Bad Sub-sources

Click Find sub-sources. Pick a parameter, a period (last 24 hours or a number of days) and a minimum number of clicks, then click Find. You get the busiest values with their clicks, conversions, conversion rate and suspicious share.

High traffic with zero conversions, or a high suspicious share, is a good block candidate. Tick the rows, choose whether to block them for that affiliate or every affiliate, and click Block selected.

Adding a Block

  1. Click Block sub-sources

Choose the parameter (source or Sub ID 1–10) and how to match: exact, starts with or contains.

  2. Paste the values

One per line or comma-separated. Matching ignores upper and lower case.

  3. Choose affiliates and campaigns

Leave either empty to mean all. One rule is created per value, campaign and affiliate.

  4. Pick the action and duration, then click Block

The tracker applies the rules within seconds.

Managing Rules

The rule list shows each block, what it applies to, its action and Hits — the clicks it blocked recently. Filter by value, parameter, affiliate, campaign or status, and select rules to activate, pause or delete them in bulk.

Pausing a rule lets the traffic through again without losing the rule. Blocked clicks are marked in click logs with the rule number.

Blocking a whole IP or an affiliate instead?

Blocked and trusted IPs live on Settings → Fraud Protection. To stop an affiliate on one campaign, reject them on the campaign's Affiliates tab.
